What is project spam my butt? Well like million of other internet users, Safe Sites 2 Click On get's spammed daily but unlike you we don't mind it, it gives us at Safe Sites 2 Click On ways to find out which companies may sell you information on to 3rd parties. Today we decided to launch a project aimed at informing you of which companies/websites will sell your information to spammers, over the next few days we will be setting up numerous dummy email accounts to start logging spam, spammers email address's, websites that sell your information and the hostnames the spam comes from. Who are we targeting? Websites & Companies that sell/give your information to 3rd parties without your knowledge, We won't be targeting genuine websites that send out daily updates about there site or updates about their products. We are looking for websites that pass your details over to spammers, To do this each website we sign up with for the propose of this project will be given a unique email address by us and only that website with have the ability to send emails to that email address. Over the last 2 weeks we have been receiving between 10-15 emails a day from this website in our personal email accounts even though we have not signed up or ever had any contact with them. The emails vary in subject but mainly follow the same subject line - some has sent you a youtube video, but may also have the following subject lines: Welcome to fanbox or Someone has asked you a question. If you do receive emails from fanbox and have never had any contact with them please delete the emails and also add this email address to your spam filter/email blocking options - NOREPLY(AT)myfanbox.com If you do decide to join up with Fanbox.com please do not allow the applications to access your email address book as you friends won't be happy with you. |

This Alert Is From Avast! This year, there has been a large increase in the number of legitimate websites infected by a so-called "iframe" threat - a type of malicious script. Several prominent websites have come under attack from hackers who have modified the underlying code so that malware can be distributed to unsuspecting users who visit the site. When a user visits an infected site, an invisible connection is established to a remote server, which can then attempt to install malware on the user's computer.
